Applegate's Anastasia ~ "Ana" is our 2011 (Blanket patterned) Broken opal double maned Lion head doe, she was one of our very first quality/ pedigreed Lion heads . Shes a little on the big side but has nice markings and a nice hindquarter. She is honey's grandmother . She has Streamsides, Whitmores, and mossypossum in her lines. She goes back to Streamside's Honeyberry and Whitmores Bumpkins. We sold her early 2013 but due to un seeable circumstances the family was un able to keep her so we agreed to take her back. I couldn't be more happy to have this girl in our barn again, we may only breed one or two litters from her and then retire her as a pet. One thing is certain, she will be living out her life here. Ana celebrated her 4th birthday in early February making her the oldest lion head we've kept on our farm. PENDING GOING TO A GOOD PET HOME!!!
Mighty Tiny Knox's Chocolate Kiss~ "Hershey" is our 2014 Chocolate doe, She is a granddaughter of our dearly departed lynx buck "Knox". We plan on using her in our Harlequin herd in hopes for some Chocolate and orange Harlequins PENDING!!

Wood's Edge Mystic Knight Battler ~ "Knight" I really didn't need another but as I was grooming this buck from our Harlequin doe "Claire" and blue buck "Finnick"(both sold) and noticed that this boy takes after his grandpa (Tigger) and great grandpa (Rugged Cross Battler "R.C.")with his ROCK SOLID body, he's a little longer in the back but will hopefully be an asset to our herd. After several back outs I decided not to sell him and use him in our breeding herd. After some long thought we decided on a name that would fit him just perfect Mystic~ after his mom "Mystical Clary" Knight ~ just because and Battler~ after his great grandpa (Rugged Cross Battler "R.C.") , and in a way after his dad "Nutty Buckeye's Finnick" because the Hunger Games are a battle . His great grandpa (Rugged Cross Battler "R.C.") goes back to Cimmarons stock and has received 5 BOB, 7 BOV, 1st Senior Buck at lion head Nationals (Open) 2011.He was a part of the winning Statler entry, and is littermate to the BOB Open at Nationals 2012. MEET BENTLEY!! Its official I can't go any where with out rescuing an animal, this is Bentley hes a sable point marten lion head buck I rescued him the spring of 2014 at our poultry show in Lucasville. I saw the guy I got him from unload him and my heart sank, as I was asking how long he's been so matted he told him he got him from another person the night before ( not for sure if that was true) I felt so bad for him and wanted to help him so I bought him. My mom had errands to run so she went out and got a brush for him, and I got to work with the scissors. I didn't stop until he was completely matt free, I saved his matts to show that I literally got enough hair off of him to make another rabbit. Even though he's nearly hairless Bentley is adjusting well to his new life. He needs some fatting up, and doctoring as well because his fur was so matted it was causing sores in some spots. I just Dont understand this, I feel so bad for him he's so sweet and happy to just lay on our laps and have some attention he definitely will not be leaving the farm, this is why people need to research before they buy any animal. So they know the kind of up keep they require, lion heads are a lot of up keep each of my rabbits get attention and health checks every day. This way I know even one is healthy, and any matts or long nails are taken care of then. Looking toward to seeing this guy with actual hair. Bentley is so sweet, he loves to be with us and while we don't have room to make him a house bunny he will live out his life here as a spoiled pet.
WENT TO A GREAT PET HOME :) :)

"Binx" ~ Binx is our double maned Black lion head buck love this guy who could resist his big eyes ??? He doesn't have a pedigree, he is a rescue. I know the family he was owned by and how they care for their animals. He came from a bad environment and you can see where the mats have been cut out. And when I saw him go up for sale the price was right so I didn't hesitate about buying him ( even though he's not pedigreed). He's got nice short ears, and decent shoulders I was debating whether to keep him or sell him. for the longest time, but I decided to keep him and he will be lving out his life here as our house bunny. Streamside's Gordita~ "Bear" is our July 2011 Double Maned Orange and black Harlequin buck I LOVE THIS GUYS COLORS!!! Very nice pattern, full of color which is what we need in our harlequin program. He is a little on the large side but hopefully by breeding him to smaller does we can get decent sized kits from him. This guy is special to us, his dad (streamside's Blue Bear) was our very first Harlequin he was a fawn and blue buck. We have nicknamed him Bear because his personality and looks remind us so very much of his dad ( now in a retirement home) I cant wait to see what this guy throws, hopefully we can get some blue and fawn kits from him. VERY HAPPY TO HAVE HAD HIM IN THE HERD
Wood's Edge Sweet Honey Bee "Melina" pronounced Meh-Liy-naa ~ Melina is our solid opal doe from honey and Knox's October 14, 2013 litter. Her name is Latin for honey and old Greek for honey bee, her temper reminds me so much of her mom. So I wanted her to be named after her mom, and give her a unique name as well. After a short search I stumbled upon this name, I think its beautiful and will fit this girl perfectly!!! I can't wait to watch her grow even though she doesn't have much of a mane starting she already has a nice solid body and broad shoulders. Her grandpa went back to Cimmarons stock and has recieved 5 BOB, 7 BOV, 1st Senior Buck at Lionhead Nationals (Open) 2011.He was a part of the winning Statler entry, and is littermate to the BOB Open at Nationals 2012.
